It is the geometric form of Mahalakshmi herself - the yantra through which rishis from Agastya to Adi Shankaracharya have invoked wealth and divine kripa. But remember: a Shree Yantra is only as powerful as its prana-pratishtha. Without sidhi it is only metal; with sidhi it becomes Mahalakshmi herself. In no temple, no math, no peeth — 1008 Brahmins have ever together performed prana-pratishtha on a Shree Yantra in a single yagya. Even the greatest tirtha sthals gather 11, 21, or 51 Brahmins. 108 is rare. 1008 is reserved in Vedic tradition for purn-sidhi.
