Terms and Conditions

Platform Role

Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. acts as a platform (an intermediary) connecting users with service providers (astrologers, pandits, sellers, consultants) but does not itself provide or guarantee any service or product quality.

Acceptance

By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms and confirm you are legally eligible to enter into this agreement. Continued use implies acceptance of any changes to the Terms.

User Accounts

Users must register for an account and keep their account details (email, password, etc.) secure and updated. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Sharing login credentials or impersonating others is prohibited.

Eligibility

You must be 18 years or older (or a minor with parental consent) to use our services. We may require identity verification (e.g., PAN, Aadhaar, certificates) before allowing you to provide or access certain services. Providing false or fraudulent information will lead to account suspension.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount of fees paid by you for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi, India.

Children's Data & Parental Consent

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, we do not knowingly collect or process personal data of children under 13 years of age without verifiable parental consent. No targeted advertising or behavioural tracking is performed on accounts identified as belonging to minors. If we become aware that data has been collected from a child without appropriate consent, we will delete it promptly.

Intellectual Property

By submitting any content (reviews, images, testimonials, or other material) to Sanatan Sansaar, you grant Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce, and distribute such content on the platform and in promotional materials. You retain ownership of your original content but acknowledge our right to use it as described herein.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Sanatan Sansaar platform:

  • Scraping, crawling, or automated data extraction from the platform without prior written consent
  • Sending unsolicited promotional messages, spam, or bulk communications through the platform
  • Posting fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, or misleading ratings
  • Soliciting or facilitating payments outside the platform to circumvent fees or protections
  • Impersonating Sanatan Sansaar staff, pandits, astrologers, or any other platform representatives

Severability & Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The failure of Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

Privacy Policy

Personal Data Collected

We collect personal information you provide, such as name, address, email, phone number, and your birth details (date, time, place) to provide personalized services. Sensitive information (e.g., exact birth details, astrological/kundli inputs) is treated with extra care as "sensitive personal data or information" under applicable law.

Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures (encryption, firewalls, secure servers) to protect your data. However, no system is impenetrable; we cannot guarantee absolute security of data in transit or storage.

User Rights

You can access and update your personal information in your account settings at any time. You may also request deletion of your data, subject to legal requirements. Note that deletion may limit your use of certain features.

Legal Basis

We process your personal data in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 (and its rules) and the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023. Data collection and processing are carried out only where we have a lawful basis, including your consent, contractual necessity, or compliance with legal obligations.

Purpose of Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery — fulfilling orders, bookings, consultations, and generating personalised reports
  • Payment processing — securely handling transactions through authorised payment gateways
  • Opt-in marketing — sending promotional communications only with your explicit consent
  • Fraud prevention — detecting and preventing unauthorised or fraudulent activities on the platform

Consent & Withdrawal

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time through your account settings or by writing to contact@sanatansansaar.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. Please note that withdrawing consent for essential processing may limit your ability to use certain platform features.

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law:

  • Account data — deleted within 30 days of account deletion request
  • Transaction records — retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance
  • Chat logs and support interactions — retained for 90 days for quality and dispute resolution

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We may share your data with trusted third parties strictly for service fulfilment: courier and logistics partners for order delivery, payment processors (Razorpay/PayU) that are PCI-DSS compliant for secure transactions, and anonymised analytics providers for platform improvement. We never sell your personal data to any third party for marketing or any other purpose.

User Rights under DPDP Act

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the following rights:

  • Right to Access — request a summary of your personal data being processed
  • Right to Correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to Erasure — request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
  • Right to Grievance Redressal — file complaints regarding data processing with our Grievance Officer or the Data Protection Board
  • Right to Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise your data rights in case of death or incapacity

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, remember preferences, and analyse platform usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or opt out of non-essential cookies. Essential cookies required for core functionality cannot be disabled. We do not use tracking technologies to track or profile children.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

Your personal data is primarily stored on servers located in India. In the event that data needs to be transferred outside India, such transfers will only be made to jurisdictions or entities that comply with the DPDP Act, 2023, and applicable data protection standards. We ensure that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your data during any cross-border transfer.

Account Deletion Policy

Users have the right to permanently delete their Sanatan Sansaar account at any time.

How to Delete Your Account

You can delete your account directly through the Sanatan Sansaar app by navigating to Settings and selecting "Delete Account." Alternatively, send an email to contact@sanatansansaar.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" including your registered email address or phone number.

What Gets Deleted

Upon deletion, your profile information, personal preferences, and Karma Points will be permanently removed within thirty days. Transaction records may be retained for three to seven years as required by Indian law for tax and legal compliance purposes.

Processing Time

App-based deletions are processed immediately. Email requests are completed within seven to fifteen business days. You will receive confirmation once your account is deleted. Please note that deleted accounts cannot be recovered.

Our astrology, Vaastu, and related services are belief-based guidance and provided "as-is" without any guarantees of accuracy or outcome. They do not constitute professional advice (medical, legal, financial, psychological, etc.). You should not rely solely on these services for critical decisions.

We disclaim all responsibility for any consequences of actions taken by you based on our advice or content. Suggested remedies, yantras, or rituals are cultural/spiritual practices with no scientific proof, and results vary by individual.

No Medical / Legal / Financial Advice

Nothing on the Sanatan Sansaar platform — including astrological readings, Vaastu reports, gemstone recommendations, or any other service — constitutes medical, legal, or financial advice. Users must consult qualified professionals (doctors, lawyers, financial advisors) for decisions concerning health, legal matters, or finances. Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. shall not be held liable for any loss or harm arising from reliance on platform content as professional advice.

Gemstone & Crystal Disclaimer

The metaphysical properties attributed to gemstones, crystals, and rudraksha beads sold on our platform are based on traditional and cultural beliefs. These claims are not scientifically verified and should not be treated as guaranteed outcomes. Gemstones and crystals are sold as spiritual or decorative items; we make no warranties regarding their ability to influence health, fortune, or well-being.

Energisation Disclaimer

Products described as "energised," "abhimantrit," or "blessed" have undergone a ritual or ceremonial process as per traditional Hindu practices. This designation refers solely to the ritual practice performed and does not imply any scientifically verifiable property, enhanced efficacy, or supernatural power. The perceived benefits of such products are entirely subjective and belief-based.

Force Majeure & Service Disruption

We are not liable for any failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, war, or government actions. In such cases, we will notify affected users and make reasonable efforts to resume or reschedule services. All timelines and commitments are subject to these conditions.

Purchases & Rewards

Refund & Return Policy

Bazaar Products

For physical goods, orders can be cancelled before they are shipped; once shipped, cancellation is not allowed. If an item arrives defective or damaged, contact us within 48 hours with evidence, and we will arrange a replacement. Digital products (e-books, software, reports) are delivered electronically and cannot be cancelled or refunded after delivery.

Puja/Seva Bookings

Once you have booked and paid for a puja or seva (temple service), it cannot be cancelled or refunded, as priests and resources are reserved. We may allow a one-time rescheduling if requested well in advance, subject to availability. No refunds are provided for cancellations or no-shows.

Vaastu Consultations

You may cancel or reschedule a Vaastu consultation up to 24 hours before the scheduled time without penalty. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the appointment or no-shows will incur the full consultation fee. Once the session is completed, no refunds are given.

Gemstone-Specific Returns

Gemstones, crystals, and rudraksha beads are non-returnable once delivered, unless the product is verified as defective or materially different from the listing. To claim a defective product, an unboxing video recorded at the time of delivery is mandatory. If the claim is approved, only a replacement (not a refund) will be provided. All claims must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.

Kundli & AI-Generated Reports

Kundli reports, astrological readings, and AI-generated spiritual reports are personalised digital products. Once delivered to your account or email, these reports are considered final and are non-refundable. Please verify all input details (birth date, time, place) before placing an order, as errors in input data cannot be grounds for a refund.

Payment Methods Accepted

We accept credit cards, debit cards, net banking, UPI, EMI options, and Cash on Delivery (COD). COD is not available for gemstone orders. We do not store your card details on our servers; all payment data is handled securely by our PCI-DSS compliant payment partners. In case of a double payment or overcharge, the excess amount will be refunded to the original payment method, minus any applicable gateway charges, within 7-10 business days.

Shipping Policy

Delivery Time & Carriers

Domestic orders are shipped via reliable couriers or postal services, typically within 15 days of order (unless agreed otherwise). International orders are sent through registered international couriers. Delivery dates are estimates; actual delivery depends on the carrier and destination.

Loss or Damage

If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, notify us immediately. We will coordinate with the courier to investigate. If covered by courier insurance, we will arrange a replacement or refund as applicable. Please provide photos and details to support your claim.

Shipping Charges

Domestic shipping is free for orders above ₹999. For orders below this threshold, shipping charges are calculated and displayed at checkout before payment. Shipping rates for remote or hard-to-reach areas may vary and will be communicated at the time of order placement.

International Shipping & Customs

For international orders, the buyer is solely responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and any other levies imposed by the destination country. Sanatan Sansaar is not liable for delays caused by customs clearance or inspection. It is the buyer's responsibility to check local import restrictions and regulations before placing an order for items that may be restricted in their jurisdiction.

Karma Points Policy

Karma Points are awarded as per our promotions for activities like purchases, referrals, or bonuses. Points can only be redeemed for discounts or rewards on our platform and have no cash value. They cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.

Points expire 12 months after being earned (unless specified otherwise). Unused points will be forfeited after expiry. We may change the points program (including earning rates or redemption rules) at any time, with notice on our platform.

Fraud & Misuse

Any attempt to earn Karma Points through fraudulent means — including creating fake accounts, manipulated referrals, exploiting system vulnerabilities, or any other deceptive practices — will result in immediate cancellation of all accumulated points and suspension or permanent termination of the associated account. Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to pursue legal action in cases of significant fraud.

Services & Contributions

Seva Contributions Transparency Policy

Any contributions or payments made for temple seva (services) are used strictly for the stated religious or charitable purposes. We transfer the bulk of these funds directly to the partner temples, priests, or NGOs conducting the seva. A nominal portion may cover our operational costs (like payment processing, platform maintenance), with full accounting.

We do not use seva funds for any personal or unrelated purposes. All financial records are maintained accurately. If required by law, we undergo periodic audits and issue receipts for contributions.

Kundli/Jyotish User Consent & Declaration

By placing an order for a Kundli report or astrological consultation, you confirm that all birth details (date, time, place, city) provided by you are accurate to the best of your knowledge. You understand that astrology is belief-based and that there are no guaranteed outcomes from the advice or remedies provided. You agree to our stated delivery timelines and acknowledge that once the Kundli or report is delivered, the order is final. No refunds or cancellations are allowed for these personalized digital services.

Vaastu Consultation Disclaimer

Vaastu guidance provided is advisory and belief-based. It is not a substitute for professional architectural, engineering, or legal advice. We do not guarantee any specific results from following Vaastu suggestions. Implementation of any Vaastu recommendations is at your own risk and discretion.

We are not responsible for any structural or legal implications that may arise from changes you make to your property based on our advice. Please consult local authorities or professionals before major renovations.

AI-Powered Astrology & Kundli

Certain astrological reports, kundli analyses, and spiritual guidance offered on Sanatan Sansaar are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence (AI) models. These AI-generated reports are intended as cultural and spiritual tools only and do not constitute professional advice of any kind. AI systems can make errors, produce inaccurate calculations, or provide incomplete interpretations. AI-generated reports are not a substitute for consultation with a qualified human astrologer or jyotishi. Users should exercise their own judgement and discretion when acting upon any AI-generated recommendations.

Mobile Application Terms

The Sanatan Sansaar mobile application may request access to device permissions including camera (for scanning or uploading images), microphone (for voice-based consultations), location (for location-specific services and delivery), and push notifications (for order updates and reminders). All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time through your device settings. The app will not access any device feature without your explicit permission. Revoking a permission may limit the functionality of features that depend on it, but core platform features will remain accessible.

Seller / Pandit / Consultant Terms

Eligibility & Verification

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to offer the services you list. You agree to provide valid identification and credentials (PAN, Aadhaar, certificates) for verification. We may verify your qualifications and background before allowing you to list services.

Code of Conduct

You agree to act professionally and ethically. You must not post or share unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or hateful content. Discrimination against protected groups or solicitation of customers for payments outside the platform is prohibited. You must maintain confidentiality of user data and not use customer information beyond providing the service.

Seller Product Authenticity

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of their product listings, including descriptions, images, specifications, and pricing. Products marketed as "certified" (e.g., certified gemstones, lab-tested rudraksha) must be accompanied by valid laboratory documentation or certification from recognised institutions. Any misrepresentation of product quality, origin, or certification will result in immediate listing removal, account suspension, and potential legal action by Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd..

Astrologer / Consultant Earnings

Earnings from consultations, readings, and other services are processed on a monthly payout cycle. The platform commission rate is disclosed to each astrologer or consultant at the time of onboarding and is subject to revision with prior notice. Any disputes regarding earnings, deductions, or commission calculations must be raised within 7 days of the payout date by writing to the designated support channel.

Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy

All content on this site (text, graphics, logos, images) is the property of Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors unless otherwise noted. You may not copy, distribute, or modify any material without explicit permission.

If you believe any content on our platform infringes your copyright or trademark, please contact us (email: copyright@synonyms.online) with details. We will remove or disable access to infringing material promptly in accordance with applicable law.

User-Generated Content Policy

Users may post reviews, comments, or other content on our site. All user-generated content (UGC) must comply with our Code of Conduct (no illegal, hateful, or defamatory material). We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these policies. By posting content, you grant us a license to display it on our platform (we may also use it for promotions). We do not guarantee moderation of all UGC; all opinions are those of the user alone.

Grievance Redressal Policy

Complaint Submission

Users can submit grievances via email or postal mail. Include your name, contact details, nature of grievance, and any supporting information (order numbers, screenshots).

Acknowledgment & Resolution

We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 24 hours and aim to resolve it within 15 days. If more time is needed, we will inform you with reasons and an expected timeline.

Escalation to Data Protection Board of India

If your data-related grievance is not resolved satisfactorily by our Grievance Officer or Data Protection Officer, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the Data Protection Board of India (DPBAI) as established under the DPDP Act, 2023. The Board has the authority to investigate and adjudicate data protection complaints and impose penalties for non-compliance.

Consumer Protection Compliance

Sanatan Sansaar operates in compliance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. We are committed to providing accurate product and service descriptions, clear and transparent pricing inclusive of all applicable taxes and charges, and truthful representation of availability and delivery timelines. We do not engage in fake urgency tactics, misleading countdown timers, or artificially inflated "original" prices to create a false sense of discount.

Additional Policies

Pricing & Taxes Policy

All prices displayed on Sanatan Sansaar are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors on any product or service listing at any time, even after an order has been placed. In the event of a pricing error, we will notify you and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order for a full refund. For international orders, currency conversion is handled by your payment provider and any exchange rate differences are the customer's responsibility.

Product Availability & Substitution

If a product or service becomes unavailable after your order has been placed, we will notify you within 48 hours and offer a choice of a full refund to the original payment method, a substitute product of equivalent or higher value, or store credit for future purchases. No substitute product will be shipped without your explicit consent. We strive to maintain accurate stock levels but cannot guarantee real-time availability of all listed items.

Our platform may contain links to external websites, services, or resources operated by third parties. These links are provided for your convenience and informational purposes only. Sanatan Sansaar does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party websites. Social Media & Marketing Policy

Sanatan Sansaar maintains official accounts on Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. User-generated content shared publicly on these platforms may be reshared on our channels with appropriate credit to the original creator. All marketing materials, advertisements, and promotional content related to spiritual or astrological services are subject to the belief-based disclaimer stated in our Terms. We do not make scientifically unverified claims in our marketing without appropriate disclaimers.

Reviews & Testimonials Policy

Sanatan Sansaar does not accept paid or incentivised reviews. All reviews displayed on the platform are from genuine users. Reviews are moderated only for violations of our Code of Conduct (hate speech, obscenity, defamation, spam). Legitimate critical reviews are retained and will not be removed simply because they are negative. If you believe a review is fake, fraudulent, or violates our policies, report it to contact@sanatansansaar.com with supporting evidence.

Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

In the event of a dispute arising from the use of our platform or services, the parties shall first attempt good-faith resolution through direct communication within 30 days. If the dispute remains unresolved, it shall be referred to binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator mutually agreed upon by both parties, with New Delhi, India as the seat of arbitration. The proceedings shall be conducted in English. By using this platform, you waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd..

Intermediary Status & Platform Safe Harbour

Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. operates as an intermediary under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000. As a platform, we facilitate connections between users and third-party sellers, astrologers, pandits, and service providers, but we do not initiate, select, or modify the content or services provided by these third parties. We are not liable for the actions, omissions, representations, or quality of services provided by third-party sellers or service providers on the platform. Safe harbour protection applies as long as we comply with applicable intermediary guidelines and act upon valid takedown notices within the prescribed timelines.

Chargeback & Payment Dispute Policy

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company after a service has been delivered, a product has been received, or a digital report has been accessed constitutes fraudulent activity. Consequences of fraudulent chargebacks include immediate account termination, forfeiture of all Karma Points, and potential legal action to recover the disputed amount along with administrative costs. Users must contact Sanatan Sansaar support at contact@sanatansansaar.com to resolve payment issues BEFORE initiating a chargeback with their financial institution.

Religious & Spiritual Sensitivity Policy

All services offered on Sanatan Sansaar are entirely voluntary. No user, astrologer, pandit, or service provider shall engage in coercion, fear-based selling, or high-pressure tactics to influence purchases or bookings. Claims such as "your life will be ruined without this remedy" or similar fearmongering statements are strictly prohibited. Any content reported as offensive, culturally insensitive, or exploitative of religious sentiments will be reviewed and addressed within 24 hours of the report being received.

Seller & Provider Indemnification

All sellers, astrologers, pandits, consultants, and other service providers on the platform agree to indemnify and hold harmless Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd., its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from their products, services, content, or actions on the platform. Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. reserves the right to deduct any verified losses, refunds issued to customers, or penalties from the provider's pending earnings or future payouts.

Minors & Age-Sensitive Services

Users under the age of 18 may use Sanatan Sansaar only under the supervision and responsibility of a parent or legal guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their minor's activity on the platform and for any transactions made through the minor's account. Sanatan Sansaar does not engage in targeted marketing, behavioural profiling, or personalised advertising directed at users identified as being under 18 years of age.

Content Takedown & Notice-and-Action

In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, Sanatan Sansaar follows a notice-and-action framework for content removal. To report unlawful, infringing, or policy-violating content, submit a detailed complaint to grievance@synonyms.online including the specific content URL, the nature of the violation, and your contact details. Content identified as unlawful under Indian law (including but not limited to content threatening national security, public order, or decency) will be removed within 24 hours of receipt of a valid notice. Content violating platform policies but not unlawful will be reviewed and actioned within 15 days.

KYC & Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

Sanatan Sansaar may require Know Your Customer (KYC) verification for high-value transactions, seller onboarding, or when suspicious activity is detected on an account. The platform actively monitors transactions for patterns indicative of financial crime, including money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraud. Transactions originating from prohibited sources, sanctioned entities, or involving proceeds of criminal activity are strictly forbidden and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Platform Availability & Service Uptime

Sanatan Sansaar strives to maintain continuous platform availability but does not guarantee any specific uptime percentage. The platform may experience planned or unplanned downtime for maintenance, upgrades, or due to circumstances beyond our control. Synonyms Online Pvt. Ltd. is not liable for any losses, missed opportunities, or inconvenience caused by platform downtime. If a paid consultation or live session fails due to a verified platform error, users will be offered a free reschedule at the earliest available slot or a full refund of the consultation fee.
