Rudra Mahalaya Temple in Siddhpur was a magnificent Hindu Shiva temple complex begun in 943 CE and completed in 1140 CE by Chaulukya rulers, notably Jayasimha Siddharaja. Once richly carved with toranas, pillars and subsidiary shrines, it was later desecrated and partially destroyed, with only architectural ruins and arches remaining today as a protected heritage site.
